A basketball club website that its own people update without a developer

Emociona Media handles communications for Caja 87. It needed a website the club could keep up to date on its own: squad, results, sponsors and news.

In shortThe three key points of this case
01The challenge

A club posts every week: if the website depends on a developer for every change, it's out of date within a month. The agency wanted a website that they and the club could update themselves.

02The process

I designed the website for the people who will use it every week.

03The result

Since the launch, the club and the agency have published without touching any code. I keep the page builder licence and I'm there if anything goes wrong.

The challenge

A club with lots going on and little time for the website

A club posts every week: matches, signings, youth academy, sponsors. If the website depends on a developer for every change, it's out of date within a month.

The agency wanted a good-looking website that they and the club could update themselves. And one that made room for the brands that support the team.

The process

A structure built for others to update

I designed the website for the people who will use it every week.

  1. Club architecture — club, club cajista, supporters' clubs, squad, staff, sponsors, business club, youth academy and results.
  2. Sponsors with their own space — banners and profiles for every brand that supports the team.
  3. News and shop — a news blog and a link to the official shop and merchandise.
  4. Handover and support — launch at the end of 2024 and support for the first few days; day-to-day management is handled by the agency and the club.
The result

A living website that doesn't depend on anyone

No developerthe club and the agency publish on their own

Since the launch, the club and the agency have published without touching any code. I keep the page builder licence and I'm there if anything goes wrong.

No figures to show here: the website belongs to the agency and the data to the club.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

About this type of project.

Do you work for agencies?
Yes. I build the website and the agency presents it as its own. The end client doesn't need to know who I am.
What does a sports club's website need?
For the club to be able to update it. News, squad and sponsors change every week.
