Digital marketing in Seville: what I see every day

Seville lives off hospitality, tourism and services. Sectors where almost everyone competes the same way: same menus, same promises, same photos. The difference is made by whoever shows up when the customer searches, and whoever turns that visit into a booking or an enquiry.

Here, the “near me” search decides where people eat, which dentist they see and which lawyer they call. If your Google Business Profile is half-finished and your website doesn’t load on mobile, the customer has already chosen someone else.

It always starts the same way: a diagnosis, priorities and a plan you can measure. I work with businesses all over Spain.

What a digital marketing consultant in Seville does and how to choose well

What I’d look at before hiring anyone, including me.

What a digital marketing consultant does (and doesn’t do)

A consultant isn’t someone who “does your social media”. That’s one part, and not always the most important one.

My job is to look at your whole business and decide where to put every euro of marketing. I do it with Método Raíz: five phases, one deliverable in each. X-Ray: what you have, what works and what’s broken. Foundations: a digital strategy with goals, priorities and a phased plan, in writing. Build: your website at the centre. Activation: only the channels that make sense. Evolution: measure and adjust. Not every client needs all five.

02 · FoundationsRealistic goals, priorities and a plan with phases and timelinesStrategic plan
03 · BuildYour website as your operations hub, with GA4 and basic SEO set upWebsite live and measurable
04 · ActivationOnly the channels that make sense: social media, advertising, email and blogActive campaigns and content
05 · EvolutionReviewing the data, adjusting what doesn’t work and reinforcing what doesMonthly results report

Not every client needs all five phases.

I’ll also tell you what a serious consultant doesn’t do. They don’t promise you results in two weeks. They don’t sell you followers. They don’t put you on ten channels at once just because. No generic recipes: what works for a shop in Triana doesn’t work the same way for a clinic in Nervión.

When you need one in Seville (and when you don’t yet)

Here’s a real scenario from my work, with just enough detail not to point fingers. A local Seville business got in touch because it was spending on social media ads and seeing no return. The problem was its website: it didn’t load properly on mobile and had no clear way to get in touch. They were paying to bring people to a closed door.

That’s the typical case where a consultant pays off: when you’re putting time or money into marketing and don’t know what each action is bringing back.

And when don’t you need one yet? If you’ve just started and have neither a clear offer nor the capacity to take on more clients, your priority is the business, not the marketing. I’d rather tell you now than charge you to find out.

The Andalusian context explains a lot of what I see every week. According to the Institute of Statistics and Cartography of Andalusia, 74.1% of Andalusian companies reach a basic level of digital intensity in 2025, below the Spanish average. Among those with fewer than 250 employees, 79.4% have a website, but only 33% reach high digital intensity. Translation: almost every small business in Seville is online, but few are making the most of it. That’s where your opportunity lies.

Freelance consultant or agency: which suits you

It depends on your size and on how many people you want to deal with. Here’s the short version, no tricks:

If you’re a small business or a professional with a limited budget, a freelancer usually gives you more for every euro. If you need constant output across five channels, consider an agency. I go into more detail on my page about digital marketing consulting for small businesses.

How much a digital marketing consultant in Seville costs

Hardly anyone publishes their rates, which makes comparing difficult. I publish starting prices, as a guide and excl. VAT, because I’d rather filter early than waste both our time.

The Diagnostic Session is free: 30 minutes by video call and 3 clear priorities. The Digital X-Ray is the full diagnosis in writing, with a 90-day plan. It costs €390 (€290 for the self-employed and associations) and is deducted in full if you sign up for a monthly plan or a website.

The monthly action plan starts at €450 a month. A website, from €1,000 for the self-employed and €1,500 for companies. Maintenance, from €120 a month. Social media management, from €389 a month.

Be wary of both extremes. Well below, there are usually recycled templates. Well above, with no scope to justify it, there’s an expensive brand and little else.

Five signs to help you choose well

When you compare options, look at this:

  1. They ask about your business before talking about channels. If they start by reciting services, bad sign.
  2. They show you method, not magic. Diagnosis, strategy and build, in that order.
  3. They talk about sales and clients, not likes. Vanity metrics don’t pay the bills.
  4. They put the website at the centre. Your social profiles live on rented ground; your website is yours. If they also build it with good judgement, like a freelance web designer who understands business, even better.
  5. They say no to things. A consultant who accepts everything you ask for isn’t consulting: they’re just taking orders.

How I work from Seville

I’m Nico, a freelance consultant, and I work from La Rinconada for small businesses and personal brands in Seville and all over Spain. My method is Método Raíz: X-Ray, Foundations, Build, Activation and Evolution. From audit to action, always in that order and always in writing.

My approach is clear: your website is your operations hub and everything else works for it. And one rule I don’t break: if something can’t be measured, I don’t recommend it.
