A cluster’s first annual report: 36 pages that sum up a year of work
Land had never produced an activity report. In December 2025 it asked for one. By March 2026 it was at the printer’s; in April, on its website.

A year of activity, lots of text and no template
Forums, committees, new members, a strategic plan: the cluster had plenty of material and no way of telling the story.
The first layout showed the problem: too much continuous text and photos that didn’t fit. It had to be redone with an editorial eye.
Laying it out to be read

- Structure in blocks — activities, members, committees, forum and strategic plan, with a clear hierarchy.
- Second layout — more white space, full-page photos and text in columns; bold only where the team asked for it.
- Corrections with the team — with the cluster, round by round, through to the print version.
- Two outputs — a print PDF set at 36 pages (a multiple of four) and a digital version for the website.
A report the cluster can show off
The report went to print in March 2026 and was published on the website in April. It’s in print and on screen, ready for members and institutions.
The design is now the basis for next year’s report.
